چکیده
ObjectivesInformation of brain metastasis (BM) in de novo stage IV breast cancer is lacking, which an unavoidable problem and dilemma practice. Understanding the current situation helpful for clinical cognition decision-making.MethodsWe retrospectively analyzed survival information with BM between 2015 2019 from Surveillance, Epidemiology, End Results (SEER) database. Multivariable logistic Cox regression analyses were performed to identify predictors factors associated all-cause mortality cancer, respectively. Overall (OS) was calculated using Kaplan-Meier log-rank tests.ResultsOur cohort consisted 1366 patients incidence 8.38% metastatic disease any distant site. Incidence highest among HR-HER2+ (12.95%) HR-HER2- (13.40%) subtypes. The higher number extracranial metastases, incidence. median OS 12.0 (95%CI: 10.426–13.574) months group; it longest HR + HER2+ (19.0[95%CI: 11.793–26.207] months), shortest (7.0 [95%CI:5.354–8.646] months). Marital status, subtype, abundance sites influenced morbidity cancer.ConclusionsPopulation-based estimates prognosis closely subtype burden. These findings may be developing diagnostic strategies, especially screening.

Surgical management of de novo stage IV breast cancer.
Management of the intact primary tumor in women presenting with stage IV breast cancer has classically been determined by the presence or absence of symptoms. However, multiple retrospective reviews completed over the past decade suggest a survival advantage with resection of the intact, asymptomatic primary tumor in these women. These reviews are not without bias, and recently completed random...
متن کاملLocoregional therapy in luminal-like and HER2-enriched patients with de novo stage IV breast cancer
BACKGROUND Locoregional therapy is rarely the standard of care for De Novo stage IV breast cancer but usually used for palliation of symptoms. This retrospective study aimed to determine whether surgery or radiation would contribute to survival benefit for this group of patients by examining the survival outcome through the disease molecular subtypes. MATERIALS AND METHODS We reviewed 246 pat...
متن کاملCancer metastasis at a glance: A brief view of Breast Cancer Brain Metastasis
Cancer initiation and progression is a challenging scenario through developmental processes, which may be more complicated by occurrence of metastasis. Basically, diverse genetic alterations, including mutations, formation of truncated proteins and related pathways play key roles either in diagnosis or the most influential therapeutic purposes. ...

متن کاملSurvival differences among women with de novo stage IV and relapsed breast cancer.
BACKGROUND The objective of this retrospective study was to determine whether differences in survival exist between women with de novo stage IV and relapsed breast cancer. PATIENTS AND METHODS Three thousand five hundred and twenty-four women with de novo stage IV or relapsed breast cancer diagnosed from 1992 to 2007 were identified. Disease-free interval (DFI) was defined as the time from th...
